Job Description We offer a competitive salary for this role, with an expected range of $79,500 – $100,700/yr. The final offer will depend on your experience, skills, and overall qualifications. The Cost Analyst's primary function will focus on the various areas of providing support from Supply Chain for Program Office, Estimating and Manufacturing, primarily focused on material cost and inventory, centered on Material Estimates At Complete (EACs) and Material spend forecasting. Operating under the BIW Business Operating System (BOS), the Sr Supply Chain Analyst ensures compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards while coordinating with other key stakeholders to meet overall milestones. Key Responsibilities Safety Leadership: Take personal responsibility for your own safety through hazard identification and mitigation. Ensure practices/processes are safely executed while communicating any safety concerns and modeling safe behaviors. Project Execution: Material Estimates at Complete (EACs) and Material Spend Development of quarterly EACs for each & every ship under contract Prepare & administer all related EVM requirements associated with Material Material Cost/Spend Forecasting to support the Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual materials spend forecasting process Act as the Point of Contact (POC) for relative reporting, error resolution, process improvements and special assignments Prepare & administer relative metrics. All associated deliverables will be on time and error free The Analyst will document all processes where documentation does not exist, and ensure the respective procedures are kept Training and Development: Be a continuous and active learner Work to enhance current skills and take initiative to prepare yourself for future roles and career growth Team Collaboration and Communication: Assist and participate in cross departmental communications and information sharing to support organizational alignment. Create strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders Continuous Improvement: Monitor and assess material financial performance and initiate corrective action when performance does not meet or beat company obligations or expectations Evaluate effectiveness of existing methodologies & strategies and make recommendations for improvement as needed Required/Preferred Education/Training BS/BA Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience required Required/Preferred Experience 5-10 years Business/Finance/Estimating related experience - Supply Chain experience preferred Superior skills with Microsoft products Excel, Access and PowerPoint required Proven ability to manage complex analysis with minimal direct supervision Proven ability to compile large volumes of data into high level presentations Excellent verbal and written communications skills required Excellent interpersonal skills required Proven ability to work in a team environment required Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize daily workloads and multi-task in a fast-paced environment required Proven ability to evaluate, negotiate and prepare price/cost analysis independently #J-18808-Ljbffr General Dynamics Corporation
