Job: Maintenance Technician - Electrical
Location: Chattanooga, TN
Shift: M-F 8 hour day shift

What are we looking for?

Minimum Qualifications

2-year Technical Degree (Electrical/Electronic/Controls/Automation) or equivalent experience
2 years working in a Factory IT/OT role or equivalent experience
Advanced knowledge of Allen Bradley Control Logix family of process controllers (MicroLogix, Control Logix, Compact Logix, SLC), and Siemens Step 7
Microsoft Server 2016 - Server 2025
VMWare vSphere environment
Networks at a high level. Working within multiple Vlans/virtual networks
Active Directory
SCADA systems, HMIs, and Thin Clients
Data collection systems
Database systems including Microsoft SQL and Power BI
Rockwell and Siemens PLC's.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic/controls/automation technology, IT/OT or related field.
6-10 years Factory Controls & IT experience
Demonstrated comfort level and proficient navigating motion control systems/servo motors (Rockwell, Rexroth/Indramat)

Working knowledge of arc flash safety requirements, NFPA 70E (Standard for Electrical Safety in The Workplace), and NFPA70 (National Electrical Code)

Proficient navigating operating systems (Microsoft Windows PC, Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2025, Microsoft Active Directory)
Experience with Siemens programmable logic controllers and software.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Owner of the Factory Controls & IT/OT (Information Technology and Operational Technology) Infrastructure.
Contributor to the site Automation Roadmap Strategy
Accountable for Implementation of Factory Controls & IT Projects
Secondary Point of Contact for Operations, IE's, and Engineering Teams responsible for delivery of Factory Controls & IT Initiatives
Supervise the work activities of outside contractors, controls technicians, and other associates with the installation of instrumentation, PLC based control systems, and PC based operator interfaces.
Execute to KPI's related to Factory Controls & IT infrastructure, Services and Solutions to include Performance, Availability and Functionality Metrics
Interact with Maintenance Department to solve/define Improvements.
Accountable for problem resolution for all Factory Controls & IT infrastructure
Engage in Regional and Global Factory Controls & IT Infrastructure related Projects.
Prepare job aids, user documentation, systems documentation, standard operating procedures, and training materials for plant automation systems.
Act as an advanced technical resource on controls, IT/OT related issues including troubleshooting, analysis and recommending practical corrective actions for the related problems
Identify opportunities and recommend changes to improve plant performance.
Provide input into site engineering standards for programming and systems design.
Assist in performing programming, testing, and debugging for new systems as well as for the enhancement of existing systems.
Maintenance, configuration, and operation of network physical and virtual servers.

Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate factory data acquisition systems.
Network and IDF maintenance and support. manage IP addresses and switch port inventory.
Implementation, maintenance and monitoring of site Historian and reporting solutions.
Administration of Thin Manager, and thin client HMIs.
Responsible for cyber security compliance of the factory IT/OT infrastructure.
Support factory IT/OT related after-hours calls as needed.
Manage and maintain factory floor hardware database and software licensing.
Provide support to vendors for factory network access.
Regular collaboration with the plant control systems group on projects.
Keep up to date on industry trends and make the necessary recommendations.
