AppleTree Staffing is looking for a hands-on CNC Lead Technician to support aerospace and defense composite manufacturing. This role focuses on Mastercam programming, CNC setup and operation, process ownership, and technical leadership in both prototype and production work.
- Program and optimize CNC jobs in Mastercam for composite parts, tooling, and fixtures.
- Set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC equipment, including prove-out and first-run validation.
- Select tooling, workholding, feeds, and speeds for composite and aluminum machining.
- Troubleshoot machining and process issues while supporting production priorities.
- Train team members and help standardize setup and machining practices.
- 5+ years of CNC machining experience in aerospace, composites, tooling, or advanced manufacturing.
- Strong Mastercam skills and experience with 3-axis and 5-axis CNC equipment.
- Ability to machine composites, aluminum tooling, foam, and related materials.
- Able to read engineering drawings and manage jobs independently from setup to finished part.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Self-driven, dependable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work across engineering, production, and operations teams.
