Job Description
Title: Operating Room Nurse - Surgical Care

Schedule: Days, 8 hours, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:
- New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate
- 2+ years of current operating room experience
- Experience in floating to vascular, orthopedic, trauma, general surgery, robotic surgery, urology, and ENT
- Travel experience
- EPIC experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Scrub and circulate experience
- Must lift up to 50 lbs
- Permanent address must match driver's license/state ID

Compliance / Notes:
- Must complete a 14-panel drug screen within 24 hours of offer acceptance
- Must verify any time-off requests at upload; no changes post-upload
- Completion of verbal de-escalation training from approved training groups required

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assessing, planning, and implementing patient care before, during, and after surgery
- Maintaining a sterile and safe surgical environment
- Providing pre and post-operative patient education
- Monitoring patients' physical and emotional well-being
- Integrating and coordinating care throughout the surgical care continuum
- Strong skills in vascular surgery and orthopedic surgery are required
