About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a high-volume emergency department. Must have experience seeing at least 100 patients a day. Familiarity with patient-to-nurse ratios of 4:1. License: Currently valid nursing license. Certifications: ACLS BLS NIHSS TNCC Must-Have: Experience in a fast-paced emergency department environment. Ability to manage BiPAP/CPAP. Competence in blood product administration and care of ventilated patients. Proficiency in starting and maintaining IVs. Experience with trauma cases, gunshot wounds, and ortho trauma. Ability to perform procedural sedation administration and monitoring. Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols. Description: The position is for an emergency room registered nurse. The role requires working 3x12-hour night shifts. The candidate must have experience working in an emergency setting with high patient volumes. Responsibilities include providing care for a diverse patient age group, including neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Nurses will work with interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory services and rapid response teams. The facility has a daily census that averages around 95 visits. Patient care will involve managing critical situations and providing timely interventions. Experience with charting systems such as Epic is preferred. References covering one year within the last three years are required prior to starting. Nurses should expect to float within their scope to meet facility needs. Weekend availability is necessary.
