Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations within an acute care inpatient hospital environment
• Manage and mentor a team of approximately 20 full-time, part-time, and PRN pharmacy staff
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and CMS regulations
• Collaborate with hospital leadership to optimize pharmacy services and patient care outcomes
• Lead initiatives focused on community health improvement in a safety net hospital setting

Required Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Pharmacist License in good standing; mandatory with all licenses disclosed and verified
• Minimum three years’ experience as Director of Pharmacy in an acute care inpatient hospital setting
• Minimum three years’ acute care inpatient hospital pharmacy experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• PharmD degree strongly preferred
• Board Certification considered a significant advantage
• Completion of hospital pharmacy residency programs a plus
• Experience managing multi-tiered pharmacy teams
• Strong background in Joint Commission and CMS compliance
• Previous work in community or safety net hospitals is highly valued
