Position Description Part‑time, non‑tenure‑track lectureships with Thurgood Marshall College, UC San Diego. Appointments vary from one to three quarters. Instructors will teach TMC 120 (Partnership Schools Program), guiding undergraduates on historical, systemic, and institutional inequities affecting underrepresented students entering four‑year institutions. The course, organized as a small seminar, uses readings, lectures, guest speakers, dialogue, and community‑engaged learning focused on the formal schooling experiences and outcomes of students served by the Partnership Schools. Qualifications Basic qualifications (required at application) ABD or currently pursuing an MA, PhD, or terminal degree in a pertinent field. Research experience in education, educational access, or educational equity. Teaching experience in Education or Educational Equity within a university setting, encompassing humanities, social sciences, and policy perspectives. Additional qualifications (required at start) MA, PhD, or terminal degree in a pertinent field. Preferred qualifications Research experience in intersections of race, class, gender, sexuality, and other categories of difference.
