Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient nursing care on a 40-bed Medical Surgical unit with an emphasis in Bariatrics and Orthopedics, serving adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Manage a patient assignment within target ratios of 1:5–7, which may fluctuate based on unit census and surge needs
• Utilize unit systems including EPIC, PYXIS, Voalte, and SBAR for charting, communication, and medication management
• Maintain hand hygiene compliance of at least 75% in accordance with unit standards
• Float within or near the facility as required by unit needs
• Meet weekend requirements of 2–3 weekends per 6-week period and work 2 of 3 major holidays

Required Qualifications

• Active NC RN license or valid Compact RN license (pending licensure acceptable at time of submission)
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Telemetry skills required
• Required certifications: BCLS, NIH Stroke Scale, IV Start, and Telemetry
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates (within 50 miles of the facility) are welcome; a lower rate applies

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience in Bariatrics or Orthopedics is a plus
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records
