Job Description

A critical access hospital is seeking qualified Medical Technologists (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) for a contract assignment. As a key member of the laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing various laboratory analyses, including microbiology, gram stains, culture planting, and blood cultures. Proficiency in phlebotomy and blood bank testing is required. This role involves weekend rotations and holiday coverage on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory tests and analyses accurately and efficiently.
• Perform microbiological testing and handle cultures, including blood cultures.
• Execute blood bank testing procedures as required.
• Demonstrate proficiency in phlebotomy.
• Follow all COVID-19 regulations, including proper use of PPE and isolation procedures.
• Multitask and prioritize effectively while working independently.
• Effectively communicate laboratory results and findings.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduation from an approved Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Technician program.
• Proficiency in microbiology and relevant laboratory procedures.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.
