The City of Springfield Police Department is seeking a highly organized and dependable Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of a fast-paced public safety environment. What This Position Will Do
- Provide administrative and clerical support to Police Department staff and operations

- Assist with scheduling, correspondence, data entry, and office coordination
- Support day-to-day departmental operations in a professional and efficient manner
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy when handling records and sensitive information
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with office software and willingness to learn City systems
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in a public safety setting

Qualifications and Requirements Experience, Education, and Training
- Requires at least two years of experience in general office work;
OR
- 2 years of related college or vocational education from an accredited college/university.
- Experience with an emphasis on contact with the public.
Licensing/Certification
- Assignment to some departments requires incumbent to possess a valid driver's license and in some cases provide own vehicle for on-the-job transportation purposes.
