Location: Clarksburg, WV
Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Part-Time | 20 Hours per Week | Flexible Monday-Friday Schedule


A local company in Clarksburg, WV is looking for an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper / Payroll Specialist to join its team! This position offers a flexible 20-hour weekly schedule Monday through Friday and compensation of up to $18.00 per hour .


This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in bookkeeping, payroll processing, QuickBooks, payroll taxes, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting who is looking for a flexible, part-time position.

Bookkeeper / Payroll Specialist Responsibilities

• Process accurate and timely payroll for client companies .
• Maintain financial accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain the general ledger and transfer account summaries.
• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping and payroll records.
• Assist with payroll tax information and related documentation.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients.
• Assist with front office and administrative duties as needed.
• Support the team with additional bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting responsibilities.
• Help build and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to business growth.

Qualifications

• Previous experience using QuickBooks in a bookkeeping, payroll, or accounting role.
• 2+ years of related bookkeeping or payroll experience preferred .
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, payroll taxes, and payroll software .
• Experience with payroll processing and account reconciliation preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Motivation to develop client relationships and grow an individual book of business.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
