Account Executive Lead (Client Servicing)

Snapshot: $125K–$160K base · $150K–$235K OTE + equity · San Mateo, CA · On-site (4 days, Fridays remote) · Visa: potentially available · 7–15 yrs commercial P&C servicing

THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client is a seed-stage, AI-native commercial insurance brokerage (~5 people, venture-backed) automating underwriting and servicing for the largest, least-automated parts of the economy. This is the first dedicated servicing hire — note: this is a client-servicing and account-management role, not a sales role. You'll set the standard for how the firm serves mid-market clients in construction, real estate, and manufacturing, scaling from ~30 to ~300 accounts and eventually leading a team of 2–5+ AEs.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Manage renewals, certificates of insurance, endorsements, compliance, and day-to-day servicing for mid-market commercial accounts. Support sales-to-onboarding transitions for new clients. Partner directly with the CTO and engineering team to identify AI/automation opportunities. Build repeatable service standards and playbooks from scratch. Grow into a team-leadership role as the business scales.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

First 90 days: take ownership of the existing book and stand up baseline service standards. First year: scale the book toward ~300 accounts, codify playbooks, and begin building the servicing team.

MUST-HAVES

7–15 years of commercial P&C account-servicing experience for mid-market/large clients; deep familiarity with renewals, COIs, endorsements, and compliance; comfort in a high-autonomy, build-from-scratch environment.

NICE-TO-HAVES

Experience with agency-management systems; construction, real estate, or manufacturing books; early-stage or team-leadership experience.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$125K–$160K base (USD, varies by equity preference), $25K–$75K variable (paid quarterly), $150K–$235K OTE, competitive equity. Visa sponsorship potentially available.

On-site in San Mateo, CA — 4 days in office, Fridays remote.
