This position operates with minimal supervision and is considered a highly skilled technician role. The duties and responsibilities outlined are not exhaustive and may adapt over time to align with evolving business needs.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesDiagnostics and Repair Perform mechanical repairs on heavy-duty trucks and equipment in the fieldInspect, test, and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues independentlyDetermine whether repairs can be completed in the field or require shop serviceUtilize OEM diagnostic software, tools, and mobile service equipmentTest vehicles and components before and after repairs to verify proper operationField Service Execution Operate and maintain mobile service truck/van at customer locationsPerform routine maintenance, safety inspections, and annual inspections in the fieldMaintain proper inventory of parts, fluids, and supplies on the mobile unitComplete repairs efficiently while maintaining quality standardsAdapt to varying job sit conditions and customer environmentsCustomer Service and Communication Communicate repair status, concerns, and updates to Shop Foreman or Service ManagerCommunicate directly with customers regarding repairs, timelines, and findingsProvide professional service and represent the Company in the fieldComplete all required paperwork and documentation accurately and timelyCoordinate with Service Manager or Shop Foreman on complex repairs or support needsMaintain strong customer relationships through reliable serviceSafety and Compliance Follow all safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirementsMaintain a safe, clean, and organized mobile work environmentProperly use and maintain tools, equipment, and personal protective equipmentMaintain awareness of environmental and safety hazardsParticipate in required training and certification programsEnsure all work is performed in compliance with Company and regulatory standardsQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This position operates primarily in a mobile, field-based environment with constant travel and frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, tools, fumes, and varying weather conditions. Lifting up to 50-100 pounds may be required.
