Quality Process Services (QPS)Measurement Technician Location: Midland / Odessa, TX
Schedule: 5 Days On / 2 Days Off (Local Position)Position SummaryQuality Process Services (QPS) is seeking a Measurement Technician to support oil and gas production operations in the Midland/Odessa area. This is a local 5/2 position responsible for maintaining, calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing measurement equipment to ensure accurate custody transfer and production reporting.
- Install, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot oil and gas measurement equipment.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on LACT units, meter runs, transmitters, flow computers, pressure and temperature devices.
- Calibrate and verify flow measurement systems.
- Perform diagnostics and maintenance on gas chromatographs (GCs) when applicable.
- Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and instrumentation issues affecting measurement accuracy.
- Configure and maintain flow computers and communication equipment.
- Read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Document calibration records, maintenance activities, and inspection reports.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and customer procedures.
- 3+ years of oil & gas measurement experience.
- Experience with gas chromatographs (GCs) preferred.
- Experience with flow computers (ROC, OMNI, ABB, or similar), liquid and gas measurement systems, LACT units, meter proving, and pressure, temperature, and flow instrumentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in field environments.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
