Role Description The Automotive Mechanic is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Magnolia, TX responsible for maintaining and repairing company vehicles and equipment used in environmental services operations. Day‑to‑day tasks include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing routine maintenance, completing scheduled inspections, and conducting repairs on trucks, trailers, and specialized service vehicles. The role involves documenting work performed, maintaining accurate service records, and coordinating with operations staff to minimize downtime and ensure fleet readiness. The mechanic will follow safety protocols, use appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment, and collaborate with supervisors and drivers to address vehicle performance concerns. This position supports reliable field operations and contributes directly to safe, efficient service delivery. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for light-, medium-, and heavy‑duty vehicles. Candidates should possess skills in Automotive Repair and Automotive diagnostics, including troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Candidates should possess a commitment to Customer Satisfaction, with the ability to support internal stakeholders through timely, quality repairs. Relevant experience with commercial fleets, service trucks, or construction/environmental equipment is beneficial. Formal training such as an automotive technology program, ASE certifications, or equivalent on‑the‑job experience is preferred. Working knowledge of safety standards, OSHA guidelines, and proper use of shop tools and diagnostic equipment is advantageous. Ability to read service manuals, follow work orders, and maintain accurate maintenance records is required.
