Supervisor Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery - $30-42 per hour

Position Overview Registered Nurse (RN) Labor and Delivery Supervisor at Baptist Health System – San Antonio, TX. Ongoing Shift‑based leadership providing clinical supervision, unit coordination, and staffing oversight. Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities Coordinate and assign patient care on shift. Act as unit patient flow coordinator, facilitating admissions, discharges, and transfers. Coordinate unit staffing for next shift with the Director/Clinical Manager, Coordinator, and/or House Officer. Provide supervisory input into staff evaluations and performance reviews. Serve as a clinical and leadership resource and role model for the staff. Complete established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Preferred Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Nursing or an advanced degree in a related field. Experience Required: 1 year in an equivalent unit. Preferred Experience: 4 years in an equivalent unit. Licensure: Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse. Preferred Licensure: National Specialty Certification. Required Courses/Completions: Must have active Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire. ACLS/TNCC, PALS, NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E., Fetal Monitoring, and Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention are required depending on department hired. ENPC preferred in the Emergency Department.
