Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant The Senior Accountant performs a variety of professional accounting and advisory work and is responsible for organizing and managing the completion of their own tasks and projects, as well as coaching and training Accounting Associates in meeting both firm and client expectations. Primary responsibilities include ensuring all financial data for assigned clients are recorded, reconciled, reviewed, reported, and retained in accordance with established policies and procedures. Roles & Responsibilities Preparing accurate financial reports and records by established deadlines Examining financial documents and accounting records to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to generally accepted accounting procedures Helping to develop, implement, and document proper accounting processes and procedures for new clients. Processing payroll for assigned clients in an accurate and timely manner Creating invoices and collecting payments on behalf of clients Processing expense reports in accordance with clients’ established procedures Providing assistance as needed to BlueArrow CPAs team Updating information databases as needed Performing general office duties (e.g., scanning, filing, shredding, etc.) Driving to financial institutions and client locations Submitting payments and communicating with vendors on behalf of clients Education & Experience Requirement Graduation/Post Grad Degree or advanced studies in Accounting or Business Administration Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures 3+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant, Accounting Associate, or similar position required 1+ years of experience as a Senior Accountant or similar position preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and QuickBooks accounting software (both desktop and online versions) Experience with accounting and advisory needs of tribal entities Experience with accounting-specific databases and accounting computer applications Required Skills Applying technical knowledge and research in formulating client-related recommendations Communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing Maintaining good client relations and providing excellent customer service Managing and budgeting projects and job completion in a timely manner Performing analytical and detailed work with numerical data and making arithmetic computations rapidly and accurately Prioritizing requirements of multiple projects, ensuring the overall success of each project Recognizing and actively seeking on-the-job learning and formal learning to develop and refine skills and competencies Working independently from general instructions #J-18808-Ljbffr Blue Arrow CPA Inc.
