About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to play a pivotal role in advancing its mission of creating diverse, compassionate communities that provide opportunities for all to thrive. The COO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for strategic and operational leadership across the organization's programs, services, and internal operations. This includes fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, as well as guiding the implementation of the strategic plan and ensuring the organization's long-term operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leadership, strategic implementation, and change management, with a focus on designing and implementing systems that enhance productivity and efficiency. Familiarity with affordable housing and social services is considered an asset. Key responsibilities for the COO at the company include providing executive oversight for resident services and supportive programming, leading long-term program planning, and ensuring that all programs are resident-centered, culturally responsive, and outcomes-driven. The COO will also be involved in administrative functions, including talent management, technology modernization, and risk management, and will oversee the organization's research, evaluation, and learning functions. The role requires a candidate with at least 10 years' of leadership experience, strong financial acumen, and a commitment to community development. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication, conflict resolution, and team leadership skills, and will be expected to build and sustain relationships with various stakeholders to expand the organization's resources and influence.
