Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, coordinated nursing care for an individual patient or patient group in the ER, following established standards and the nursing process.
- Assess, monitor, and interpret patient data; identify changes in condition and escalate as needed.
- Develop and implement nursing plans of care, administer medications and interventions, and document in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other health professionals to coordinate care and discharge planning.
- Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff and support personnel as appropriate.
- Provide patient and family education, promote a safe and healing environment, and participate in performance improvement activities.

Requirements
- Licenses: Current RN licensure in the state of practice (California) or as required by the state of assignment.
- Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and PALS required; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required.
- Experience: At least two years of recent RN experience in the field; ER/acute care experience preferred.
- Education: BSN preferred.
- Additional: EPIC EHR experience preferred; ability to work in a fast-paced ER setting; appropriate to meet facility-specific duties.
