Registered Nurse (RN) - L&D

Labor & Delivery Rn

Schedule - Weekends: Required typically every other weekend; may exceed to meet unit needs.

Requirements - Active state license required (California) - Minimum of 1.5 years of Labor & Delivery experience - Required certifications: AWHONN Advanced, ACLS, BLS, NRP - EPIC experience required - Must be able to perform sterile vaginal exams independently - Triage experience required

Roles & Responsibilities - Manage labor and delivery including triage of obstetrical patients. - Perform sterile vaginal exams and IUPC placements. - Monitor fetal heart rates and manage labor progression. - Assist and scrub for C-sections and manage postpartum hemorrhage. - Administer medications such as Pitocin and magnesium sulfate as needed. - Conduct newborn assessments and perform APGAR scoring.

Compliance / Notes - Orientation: 36 hours - Two references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years - Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays - Requested time off must be included at the time of submission
