Financial Controller

This opportunity is ideal for an accomplished accounting leader eager to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic, multi-entity healthcare provider. As Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role strengthening the accounting function, partnering closely with executive leadership, and helping drive the operational infrastructure that supports both rapid growth and patient care excellence. Responsibilities Lead all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management. Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies. Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and account reconciliations across the organization. Coordinate annual audits and support tax compliance activities. Partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and variance analysis. Provide financial reporting and actionable insights to executive leadership. Supervise accounting operations across multiple entities, ensuring consistency and compliance. Evaluate and improve accounting processes, workflows, and operational efficiencies. Mentor, develop, and build additional structure within the accounting department; recruit and onboard future accounting staff as needed. Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant healthcare regulations. Must-Have Skills Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Proven leadership experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller in a multi-entity organization. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and audit practices. Experience leading and developing accounting teams (minimum of three staff members). Expertise managing accounting functions for a complex organization, including month-end close, financial statements, and consolidations. Proficiency in Sage Intacct or comparable ERP financial systems. Excellent communication, organizational, and mentoring skills. Ability to prioritize initiatives and succeed in a fast-paced, growing business environment. Nice-to-Have Skills Recent experience in healthcare services, home health, hospice, skilled nursing, or related sectors. Background with physician practice management, behavioral health, or complex healthcare provider settings. Experience overseeing multi-state and multi-location financial operations. Familiarity with SOX compliance and shared services environments. Strong understanding of Medicaid, Medicare, and other healthcare reimbursement protocols. Expertise in process improvement, building operational structure, and team development within accounting functions. Hands‑on experience with other ERP systems such as NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics GP, Oracle, SAP, or Workday Financials. #J-18808-Ljbffr
