Sales Representative – Laser Machines On-Site: Illinois   Overview

The Sales Representative for Laser Machines is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and promoting a portfolio of industrial laser systems. This role blends technical understanding with strong consultative selling skills to help customers select the right laser solutions for their manufacturing or commercial applications.

Key Responsibilities

l P rospect, qualify, and close new business across assigned territories and verticals (manufacturing, fabrication, medical, R&D, etc.).

l Conduct product demonstrations —in person or virtually—showcasing laser cutting, engraving, marking, or welding capabilities.

l Develop a deep understanding of laser technologies, machine specifications, and application requirements.

l Build and maintain strong customer relationships , ensuring long-term satisfaction and repeat business.

l Prepare proposals, quotes, and ROI analyses tailored to customer needs.

l Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to support customer trials, installations, and post sale service coordination.

l Attend trade shows, industry events, and onsite visits to generate leads and represent the brand.

l Track sales activities using CRM tools and provide accurate forecasting and reporting.

l Monitor market trends and competitor offerings to position products effectively.

Qualifications

lProven experience in  B2B sales , ideally in industrial equipment, machinery, automation, or laser systems.

lStrong technical aptitude and willingness to learn laser technology fundamentals.

lExcellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

lAbility to manage long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.

lSelf motivated, goal oriented, and comfortable working independently.

lValid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.

Preferred Experience （Optional Section）

lExperience selling  laser cutting, engraving, marking, or welding machines .

lBackground in manufacturing, CNC machinery, robotics, or automation.

lFamiliarity with CAD/CAM software or industrial design workflows.

lBilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
