Join The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne and play a defining role in the commercial success of one of Melbourne’s most distinguished luxury hotels.As our Associate Director of Sales, you’ll be a key commercial leader, driving topline revenue with a strong focus on Groups and Catering, while identifying opportunities to maximise revenue across the entire hotel.From developing valuable new business opportunities to growing market share and strengthening key partnerships, this is an opportunity to lead with purpose, influence commercial performance and contribute to a culture where exceptional service and exceptional results go hand in hand.About The Role:The Associate Director of Sales drives the hotels toplines revenues primarily for catering and groups while ensuring incremental spend is achieved across the total business Implementation and execution of sales strategy and achieving sales revenue goals and guest and employee satisfactionDrive proactive business development across key MICE segments, industries, agencies, PCOs, corporates and strategic partners.Runs the day-to-day sales activities and function with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of property sales objectives; achieving team and individual KPI’s. Work closely with Revenue Management, Events, Marketing and Operations to ensure commercial strategy is translated into exceptional customer experiences and profitable outcomes.Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape, customer behaviour and market opportunities to continuously identify opportunities for growth.Lead from the front, actively participating in customer meetings, sales calls, site inspections, industry events and business development activity.Coach and develop the sales team to achieve individual and team KPIs, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance.About You:You’re a MICE sales professional backed by extensive experience in large-scale hotel groups and event experience.You’re a confident and courageous leader who can build, coach and rally a high-performing sales team to be best in class.You thrive on execution. You are at your best when translating strategy into action, driving proactive business development, building influential customer relationships and winning new business.You are commercially astute, comfortable challenging the status quo, and motivated by achieving ambitious revenue and market share goals.You understand that luxury MICE is about more than selling space.
