Director of Sales and Marketing

the client is seeking an experienced Director of Sales and Marketing to lead commercial strategy for a premier destination resort on Captiva Island. This executive leadership role will oversee sales, catering, marketing, and business development initiatives, partnering with resort operations and executive leadership to maximize revenue, strengthen market share, and elevate the guest experience. Key responsibilities include leading group, leisure, catering, and transient sales strategies; developing annual sales and marketing plans; and driving performance metrics such as occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and total resort revenue. The role also includes overseeing digital marketing, public relations, and brand positioning, coaching and developing a high-performing commercial team, collaborating with revenue management and operations, and building relationships with meeting planners, travel advisors, and key accounts while analyzing market trends to identify new revenue opportunities. Candidates are expected to have 7–10+ years of progressive hospitality sales leadership, including 3–5+ years in a Director of Sales and Marketing role. Luxury or destination resort experience is preferred, along with a strong background in group and leisure sales, experience leading sales and marketing teams, revenue management knowledge, and excellent leadership and presentation skills.
