About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and tech-savvy Business Analyst to join our dynamic team at Kenan Advantage Group. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of how systems operate and demonstrate the ability to contribute quickly to ongoing projects. This role requires excellent communication skills and a problem-solving mindset, capable of working effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in requirements gathering, process analysis, and documentation to support our corporate initiatives. The position is based on-site in North Canton, Ohio, within a campus environment that includes amenities such as a cafeteria, coffee café, and gym. Candidates must currently reside in Northeast Ohio, as sponsorship and relocation are not available for this position.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a 2-year degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Prior hands-on experience in application development, preferably within the Microsoft .NET environment, is highly valued. Strong knowledge of relational databases, including database design and normalization, is essential. Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies, including both waterfall and agile approaches, is required. Proficiency with the MS Office Suite—Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio—and business analysis tools is necessary. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, along with strong analytical, design, and documentation capabilities, are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements gathering and elicitation to understand current state processes, complex business rules, and future state objectives for various projects.
• Manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring comprehensive documentation, clear communication, and proper implementation.
• Analyze requirements to forecast impacts of proposed changes, identify dependencies, risks, assumptions, and constraints.
• Create and maintain key documentation such as Business Requirements Documents (BRD), System Requirements Specifications (SRS), use cases, diagrams, and Requirements Traceability Matrices, ensuring alignment with customer expectations.
• Verify requirements by clarifying any ambiguities or conflicts, ensuring clarity, feasibility, and relevance.
• Validate requirements by prioritizing and evaluating their relevancy to project goals, and obtain formal approval for all deliverables.
• Develop technical design specifications, diagrams, and flowcharts to guide developers and technical teams.
• Utilize requirements elicitation techniques such as interviews, surveys, workshops, storyboarding, and prototyping to gather comprehensive insights.
• Apply knowledge of project management and software development life cycles, including both waterfall and agile methodologies, to document requirements appropriately.
• Conduct gap analysis and develop use cases, screen mockups, and technical specifications to support project development.
• Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring compliance and quality assurance.
• Maintain personal development plans, participate in training sessions, and stay current with industry standards, tools, and company objectives.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior team members and support departmental activities as needed.
