Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Public Accountant to support client accounting, tax preparation, financial reporting, and compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Review and analyze financial statements, financial reports, and accounting records.
Assist clients with tax planning and compliance.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations.
Communicate with clients to collect required financial information.
Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records.
Support bookkeeping and financial statement preparation.
Stay current with changes in federal, state, and local tax laws.
Assist with various accounting and tax-related client projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2–10 years of tax and accounting experience.
CPA certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Net Suite.
Lacerte experience is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and client-service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills.
