Staff Accountant

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their growing accounting team. This position will be responsible for supporting the month-end close process, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger. Perform monthly bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Analyze financial data and investigate account discrepancies. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed. Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for financial reporting. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Support internal and external audit requests. Ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls. Perform additional accounting and finance duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1-4 years of accounting experience. Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting fundamentals. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
