Registered Veterinary Technician Or Senior Veterinary Assistant Emergency

About the role: As an ER Vet Tech, you'll be an essential part of our veterinary team, providing vital support to our veterinarians in ensuring the utmost care and comfort for our clients' cherished pets.

Schedule: Sunday - Wednesday 10AM - 8:30PM Some duties you will own in this role:

• Assist veterinarians during treatments and procedures.
• Monitor critically ill or injured patients closely.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure around-the-clock care and treatment coordination.
• Offer compassionate care and support to patients and their owners.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
• Assist with diagnostic procedures such as bloodwork and imaging.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Monitor and maintain medical equipment.
• Communicate with pet owners regarding patient updates and treatment plans.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and provide emergency care as needed.

Schedule:

• Full-Time - 4/10 Schedule
• Sunday - Wednesday 10AM - 8:30PM
• or
• Sunday-Thursday 7AM-5:30PM

Basic Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• 2+ years of clinical experience in an ER/CCU setting required
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations
• Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); must obtain within 60-days of hire or transfer into this role; (this requirement is waived if incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license)
