This position leads continuous improvement efforts across material replenishment, inventory management, and supplier communication—ensuring the right materials are available at the right time to support business goals.**THE DAY TO DAY...*** Responsible for daily operations on the production floor, including leading leaders, staffing, training and troubleshooting to ensure that all operations are in full compliance and meet or exceed safety guidelines* Remove material flow inefficiencies and waste from the operation* Partner with Sourcing to ensure accountability of all vendors and suppliers to deliver quality parts on time in order to meet build requirements* Manage the team to ‘scale’ the business needs* Manage the shipping, receiving, storing, dunnage and movement of materials* Manage and improve “point of use” storage* Work with suppliers to strategically decrease line side requirements by use of right sized containers* Manage cost on returnable packaging; reduce bulk to right sizing* Lead JIT delivery refinement – milks runs, daily deliveries, LTL vs. FTL* Partner with Supply Chain to help resolve supplier contract issues, quality and delivery issues* Ensure the efficient and continuous flow of materials between departments according to production demand and schedule* Facilitate effective communication between internal production departments and external suppliers* Manage the process to issue signals to suppliers to deliver material to assigned areas. (kanban, forecast, visuals, purchase orders, etc)* Execute continuous improvement throughout assigned area* Set goals, monitor progress, and ensure accountability for team with appropriate coaching and development.* Execute training, coaching and direction for development of team members**THE QUALIFICATIONS...*** Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university required* Minimum 5 years of experience in operations and or materials* APIC Certification preferred* Demonstrated leadership capabilitiesApplicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future. #J-18808-Ljbffr
