This position is ideal for someone who thrives in student-centered environments and is committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive care in collaboration with educators and families.

Key Qualifications:

• Current RN license in Illinois, in good standing
• Proven school nursing experience (required)
• Familiarity with the unique health needs of K-8 students
• Outstanding communication and assessment skills
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic educational setting
• Strong organizational skills to manage records and care plans
• Passion for promoting student wellness and safety

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver skilled nursing care, including first aid, medication administration, and chronic condition management
• Assess student health needs, respond to emergencies, and develop care plans as needed
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to advocate for student health
• Conduct student health screenings and track immunization compliance
• Maintain accurate, confidential medical records
• Provide health education to students and staff
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and caring school environment
