This position supports employee records, onboarding coordination, HR documentation, and employee inquiries while helping ensure HR processes are accurate, timely, confidential, and aligned with company policy. The Junior HR Associate will report directly to the HR leader for this function and help support internal HR needs tied to company programs and operations. This role is well suited for a detail-oriented professional with early HR experience who can provide dependable administrative support in a fast-paced contractor environment. Key Responsibilities Support day-to-day HR administrative activities, employee documentation, onboarding coordination, and internal HR operations. Maintain accurate employee records, HR documentation, onboarding paperwork, and internal tracking files. Coordinate onboarding activities, new-hire documentation, employee enrollment support, and related HR follow-up. Respond to routine employee inquiries or route questions to the appropriate HR, recruiting, security, payroll, or management contact. Support compliance-driven HR processes by helping ensure documentation is complete, current, and handled confidentially. Prepare HR reports, trackers, forms, and internal updates as requested. Assist with process improvements, data cleanup, and administrative support for HR programs and internal operations. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. 1-2 years of experience in human resources, HR administration, onboarding, records management, employee support, or related administrative support required. Ability to handle sensitive employee and candidate information with discretion and confidentiality. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records, trackers, and documentation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and ability to learn HR, recruiting, or applicant tracking systems. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to successfully complete a background check. No clearance required. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience supporting HR functions in a government contracting, security, data center, or contractor-support environment. Experience with UKG, HRIS platforms, applicant tracking systems, or onboarding systems. Familiarity with employee records, onboarding documentation, benefits enrollment support, and compliance-sensitive HR processes. Associate's or bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. SHRM-CP, PHR, or other HR-related coursework or certification in progress. The position requires regular use of a computer, phone, and standard office equipment; the ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in writing; and the ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, and perform routine office tasks.
