Caregiver / Family Assistant / Household Manager Position

Location: Weston, MA
Compensation: $40–$50/hour
Commitment Level: Full-Time, Live-Out, Long-Term
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts, 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP

Position Overview

Family Assistant needed for our 95yr old father including household management.

Benefits

Responsibilities

Care & Support (50%)

• Assist with daily routine: meals, hydration, supplements, exercise and driving / outings.
• Provide physical support: mobility assistance as needed (walker & cane), caution around stairs and obstacles, encourage mindful movement.
• Support participation in home-based physical therapy and training.
• Foster engagement through photos, phone calls, iPad games, internet, family & friends.
• Encourage independence while ensuring safety and well-being.
• Write notes, record on our daily form, follow routine.
• Tech savvy re: email, word docs, navigating internet, etc.

Household & Family Assistance (50%)

• Light housekeeping tasks related to family support, including dishes, laundry, and general tidying.
• Organize and restock supplies.
• Grocery shopping and errands.
• Assist with all aspects of scheduling.
• Plan and organize outings.
• Supervise chef and host dinner parties.
• Shop and providing creative ideas for gift giving and household décor.
• Manage occasional household repairs / vendors.
• Support household routines as needed while prioritizing direct care.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in caregiving, in-home care preferred.
• Personal assistant experience capable of navigating well in any situation.
• Strong negotiating skills and the ability to lead. Memory care experience.
• Compassionate, patient and adaptable to evolving needs.
• Grounded, confident and thorough.
• Comfortable with hands-on caregiving, including physical assistance.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Organized, methodical and pro-active.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the family and other caregivers.
• Reliable, punctual and able to commit to a long-term role.
• CPR and First Aid Certified
• Comfortable working in a home with video cameras
• Sign a non-disclosure contract providing privacy for the family
• Reliable transportation
• Must be able to provide 3–5 professional references
