Key Responsibilities Your role as a Physical Therapist will encompass a variety of responsibilities, aimed at delivering individualized care: Conduct initial consultations to assess patients' physical conditions, limitations, and needs. Diagnose movement dysfunctions and create tailored treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities. Instruct patients on the correct application of therapeutic techniques, ensuring their proficiency for safe and effective rehabilitation. Utilize advanced therapies, including massage and electrical stimulation, to promote healing and improve physical function. Guide patients in using assistive devices, such as wheelchairs and walkers, enhancing their mobility and independence. Continuously monitor patient progress by maintaining detailed records of treatment goals and outcomes. Educate patients and their families about in-home treatment strategies and exercises that can help sustain rehabilitation efforts. Patient Population / Client Focus At Better Everyday Clinic, our patient population is diverse, including children, adults, and seniors facing a wide range of physical challenges. Patients may come to us with sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation needs, chronic pain conditions, or developmental issues. Qualifications To excel in this role, candidates must possess: A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution. A valid physical therapy license in Virginia. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and their families. Competence in electronic documentation and word processing for patient record management. Ability to maneuver in various home environments, showcasing physical agility and flexibility. Preferred Experience While we appreciate applicants with diverse backgrounds, candidates should ideally have at least two years of experience in a clinical setting. Experience in home care physical therapy is a strong advantage, as is familiarity with geriatric care or pediatrics. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range between USD 100,000 and 120,000 annually, reflecting your experience and expertise in the field.
