Description

Picture yourself working behind the scenes of a busy cafkeeping the kitchen running smoothly, supporting the cooking team, and knowing that your work plays a direct role in every meal served. The Plateau Travel Plaza is opening soon, and we are building a strong back-of-house team to support Three Teepees Caf in our newly remodeled and expanded property.

We are currently seeking a Kitchen Steward to help maintain cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in the kitchen. This full-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, working as part of a team, and taking pride in keeping a fast-paced kitchen clean, safe, and ready for service.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas, floors, and surfaces
• Assist with trash removal and proper waste disposal
• Help keep kitchen and storage areas organized and stocked
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and other safety procedures
• Support kitchen staff by keeping workspaces clean and functional
• Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Contribute to a clean, efficient, and team-focused kitchen environment

Benefits, Compensation, & Perks

The starting wage for a Kitchen Steward is $18.00 per hour, plus a shift differential for non-standard hours, ranging from an additional $0.50 to $2.50 per hour, depending on the shift worked.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation
• Willingness to follow food safety and safety guidelines
• Comfortable standing, walking, lifting, and performing physical tasks throughout a shift
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Availability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to pass a criminal history background check
• Must be 18 years of age or older
