Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at PhysioSpace LLC, you will work in a state-of-the-art hospital environment located in Chesterfield, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans designed by the supervising Physical Therapist, focusing on enhancing patients' mobility, strength, and overall physical function.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and utilize manual therapy techniques to aid in recovery and alleviate patients' pain.
• Employ various modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and cryotherapy as prescribed to support patient rehabilitation and recovery efforts.
• Maintain a comprehensive record of each patient's progress, responses to treatment, and any changes in conditions as required by clinic policies.
• Work collaboratively with the PT and other healthcare professionals to adjust treatment plans based on patient outcomes and needs.
• Educate patients and their families on effective home exercise programs and strategies for injury prevention to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Uphold the highest standards of documentation and compliance, ensuring that all records are accurate and adhere to clinic regulations and policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with patients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, surgeries, and various orthopedic conditions. Our diverse patient population includes individuals of all ages, from young athletes to older adults, all seeking to restore their functional abilities, independence, and quality of life. You will be instrumental in providing compassionate care, understanding each patient's unique challenges, and celebrating their recovery milestones.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active and valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Virginia.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field is required.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant is strongly preferred, particularly in an orthopedic outpatient or rehabilitation setting.

Compensation and Benefits
