The OT will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and support staff to provide services in accordance with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)Qualifications:Master's degree in Occupational TherapyCurrent North Carolina Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility)NBCOT certification preferredExperience working with school-aged children preferredKnowledge of IEP process and special education lawsStrong communication and collaboration skillsSkills, Duties, and Responsibilities:Evaluate students to determine eligibility for occupational therapy servicesDevelop, implement, and monitor IEP goals related to fine motor, sensory, and functional skillsProvide direct and indirect therapy services to students in individual and group settingsCollaborate with teachers and staff to support student access to the curriculumMaintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance recordsParticipate in IEP meetings and provide input on student progress and needsProvide recommendations for classroom accommodations and assistive toolsSupport students with sensory processing, self-care, and motor coordination needsCommunicate regularly with parents regarding student progressEnsure compliance with IDEA, state, and local regulations
