IT Help Desk Support Technician - Temporary

Felician University is presently seeking an experienced Information Technology professional to serve as a temporary Help Desk Technician from the beginning on August 10, 2026. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Information Technology, the Help Desk Technician provides 1 st line technical support to faculty, staff, and students in the resolution of hardware and software problems through assistance via phone, email or onsite. Position Type: Full-time, Temporary, Non-exemot Required Education: BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred. Qualifications: 2+ years’ experience relevant to 1 st line/help desk support; Proven experience using and troubleshooting Microsoft Office suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, One Drive); Demonstrated experience managing Outlook within a network environment; Excellent people skills, ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people; Strong verbal communication skills, ability to disseminate information in a clear, concise manner both in person and via telephone; Well-developed organizational skills; Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and work efficiently; Professional appearance and demeanor; Strong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on Windows desktop technologies; Familiarity with Smart board configurations and set up; Solid understanding of PC hardware set-up and configuration and imaging computers; Ability and willingness to support and promote the Felician Franciscan core values and mission of the University.
