Thomas B. Dobies Funeral Homes & Crematory (Independently owned and operated) is seeking a compassionate, professional, and dependable Florida Licensed Funeral Director to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing exceptional service to families during one of the most difficult times in their lives and will represent our funeral home with compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Meet with families and assist with funeral and cremation arrangements
- Coordinate and direct funeral, memorial, church, and graveside services
- Complete required documentation and funeral service paperwork
- Coordinate with cemeteries, clergy, florists, and other service providers
- Assist families throughout the arrangement and service process
- Maintain accurate case information and records
- Work cooperatively with funeral home staff at our locations
- Participate in an on-call and weekend rotation as required
Qualifications
- Current Florida Funeral Director License
- Funeral service experience preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Compassionate and professional demeanor
- Strong attention to detail
- Dependable and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- No visible tattoos or piercings
