Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care for neonatal intensive care patients in a critical care environment. Supervises and collaborates with healthcare team members to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and interpret neonatal patient data to determine care needs and prioritize interventions.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in coordination with the healthcare team.
• Monitor neonatal vital signs and clinical status, responding promptly to changes.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and families to promote optimal health outcomes.
• Educate families on neonatal care, treatment plans, and post-discharge needs.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to support staff and ensure efficient workflow.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum of two years recent experience in neonatal intensive care or similar acute care setting.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by an approved vendor.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
• Proficiency in Epic and Cerner electronic health record systems.
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced critical care environment.
