Tradeco Construction is hiring an Apprentice / Construction Trainee

Join an Established General Contractor | High-End Residential Construction in St. Petersburg

We are looking for a motivated, dependable Apprentice / Construction Trainee who is eager to learn the construction trade and grow with an established General Contractor. This is an excellent opportunity for someone new to construction, a recent graduate, or someone looking to build a long-term career in the industry.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is eager to learn, punctual, dependable, and takes pride in doing quality work . We’re looking for someone who wants to learn the trade, contribute to the team, and build a long-term career in construction. Possesses a strong work ethic, positive attitude, reliable and willing to learn from experienced professionals. You are good with your hands; any experience with hand tools is helpful

Recent Electrical or Carpentry trade school graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled tradespeople and project teams on active construction sites
• Learn construction fundamentals, tools, and jobsite safety practices
• Assist with material handling, site cleanup, and general labor
• Support basic installation and construction activities as directed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow instructions and safety procedures
• Arrive on time, ready to learn, work, and contribute each day

Requirements

• Reliable transportation to and from job sites
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in outdoor environments
• Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team
• Safety-minded attitude; you can obtain an OSHA card through us
• Basic hand tools are a plus, but not required
