Key Responsibilities (What are you doing)

• Manage programming calendars for centralized social video cutdowns across TikTok, YouTube, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and ELLE's owned platforms to ensure consistent publishing and audience growth.
• Partner with social editors and cross-functional teams to execute social video strategies that align with editorial priorities and performance goals.
• Support video production from concept through post-production by identifying compelling social moments, pulling B-roll, reviewing edits, and helping shape platform-specific content.
• Collaborate with the Talent team to develop creator partnerships, audience engagement opportunities, and social-first storytelling initiatives.
• Coordinate social video production for red carpet events, special projects, and live activations while maintaining high editorial standards.
• Upload, publish, and optimize video content across platforms, ensuring each asset is tailored to channel best practices and stakeholders are informed throughout the publishing process.
• Write and optimize engaging social copy, manage channel updates, and ensure brand pages remain fresh, accurate, and aligned with ELLE's editorial voice.
• Engage with audiences across social platforms to strengthen community, encourage conversation, and support video performance through thoughtful audience interaction.
  
  

Qualifications ( What We're Looking For)

• 3+ years of experience producing, editing, or managing social video content for a media brand, publisher, agency, or comparable digital-first environment (or equivalent experience).
• Strong copywriting skills with the ability to create compelling, platform-specific social content.
• Experience using social media analytics and video performance tools such as Dash Hudson, TikTok Analytics, or similar platforms.
• Passion for fashion, beauty, pop culture, and emerging social media trends, with a strong understanding of ELLE's editorial voice and audience.
• Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across editorial, production, social, and talent teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to evolving priorities.
• Flexibility to support on-set productions, events, and occasional work outside standard business hours as needed.
• This is a hybrid position based in New York, NY, requiring 4 days per week in the office.

The base salary range for this role is $71,400-$80,000. This position is not eligible for bonus or commission compensation. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
