Litigation Paralegal – Personal Injury

Location: Los Angeles, CA — In-Office
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Firm

We are a growing Los Angeles-based personal injury law firm dedicated exclusively to representing injured clients. As our litigation department continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to work closely with our attorneys and assist with personal injury cases throughout all stages of litigation, from filing through trial.

We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a busy litigation caseload in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with all phases of personal injury litigation, from filing through trial
• Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery, motions, notices, and correspondence
• Propound and respond to written discovery
• Calendar and monitor discovery deadlines, hearings, depositions, and other litigation deadlines
• Organize and maintain electronic litigation files
• Coordinate depositions, mediations, expert evaluations, and court appearances
• Prepare subpoenas, exhibit lists, witness lists, trial binders, and other trial materials
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts, vendors, and court personnel
• File and serve documents in California state and federal courts
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation and other litigation-related assignments as needed

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved or California-approved program
• Minimum 1 year of litigation experience; personal injury experience strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of California civil procedure and discovery
• Experience with California court filing and e-filing procedures
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office

Preferred Experience

Prior experience working at a plaintiff-side personal injury law firm is highly preferred. Experience with trial preparation, medical records, expert coordination, and high-volume litigation is also a plus.
