This is an onsite position running through May 27, 2027, offering valuable experience in a diverse and supportive educational environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
• Current Alabama ASHA certification
• Alabama Educator SLP Certificate required (may start if the certificate is pending—see Alabama Teacher Certification Portal for details)
• Experience with K-12 populations within a school environment
• Excellent communication, time management, and collaboration skills

Position Highlights:

• Contract position, full-time hours (37.5 per week)
• Therapy and evaluation responsibilities for a consistent caseload (not exceeding 60 students)
• Multiple campus assignment options including elementary, magnet, and youth facility settings
• Caseloads distributed to maintain quality of service and manageable workflow
• Strictly SLPs – no SLPAs in these positions

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech and language therapy sessions individually and in small groups
• Complete speech and language evaluations and contribute to multidisciplinary assessment teams
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and state requirements
• Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to maximize student progress
