Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Full-Time & Per Diem

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in both full-time and per diem roles. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient care and works effectively under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to support patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments and interventions as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans focused on improving activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Instruct patients in therapeutic activities to enhance strength, coordination, and independence
• Monitor patient progress and report updates or concerns to the Occupational Therapist
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
• Ensure a safe and supportive therapy environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current Texas COTA license (or eligibility)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively under supervision and as part of a team
• Experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or outpatient settings preferred

Employment Types

• Full-Time: Consistent schedule with benefits eligibility
• The starting hourly rate is $34.00 with adjustments made in accordance with the candidate's experience level
• Per Diem: Flexible, as-needed scheduling
