As a Airport Security Professional in Lihue, HI , you will safeguard the airport, staff, and it's facilities. Along with driving, patrolling, checking, and securing doors. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal serving a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Position Type: Part Time, Afternoon

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.93. The premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 21+ years of age
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government-operated transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe pedestrian and vehicle activity, and support compliance with location rules, credential requirements, and restricted area protocols.
• Assist with crowd management, directional support, and other security-related duties during routine operations, high-traffic periods, and/or weather or operational disruptions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
