Automotive Service Advisor / Service Consultant

Overview Paramus Chevrolet, part of the VIP Automotive Group is hiring an Automotive Service Advisor / Service Consultant for its high‑volume service department in Paramus, NJ. This is a full‑time position with base salary combined with commission and bonuses. Compensation & Earnings $75,000 – $115,000+ total compensation (base, commission, bonuses). Aggressive commission structure, monthly performance bonuses, and high car volume create strong earning potential. Responsibilities Deliver exceptional customer experience focused on customer satisfaction index (CSI). Greet customers and write accurate repair orders. Diagnose customer concerns and recommend appropriate services. Upsell maintenance, repairs, and additional services. Provide estimates for parts, labor, and timelines. Communicate effectively with customers and technicians. Manage workflow and coordinate with shop dispatch. Ensure repair orders are documented and closed properly. Maintain consistent follow‑up to increase retention. Build long‑term customer relationships and loyalty. Qualifications 2+ years experience as an automotive service advisor (required). Dealership experience preferred, especially with Chevrolet or General Motors. Proven track record of high CSI and sales performance. Strong communication and closing skills. Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment. Team player with results‑driven mindset. Schedule Full‑time, Monday–Friday, rotating Saturdays (5–6 day work week).
