Summary Washington Permanente Medical Group (WPMG) is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant to join our Bellevue Medical Center Orthopedic Surgery team in Bellevue, Washington. This position would start in May 2026 and provides an opportunity to be part of an integrated care delivery system that prioritizes evidence-based medicine, patient‑centered care, and physician collaboration. Position Highlights This is a multidisciplinary orthopedic surgery practice that emphasizes teamwork, continuous learning, education, quality improvement, and standardization of care. The practice includes orthopedic surgeons, physician assistants, and robust support staff including RNs and MAs. Core Components Evaluating and managing patients in the outpatient clinic at all points in the care continuum. First Assist on laparoscopic, robotic, and open procedures. Community hospital rounding and inpatient management. Consultations in urgent care and ED, as needed, to amplify efficiencies. Shared call responsibilities with additional pay earned from overnight and weekend call. No trauma component to this position. Compensation and Benefits Salary Range: $147,852 to $173,943 (salary prorated based on FTE; new hire salaries based on education, training, and experience). Qualifications Required: Certified Physician Assistant. Preferred: Two years or more of surgical experience. Preferred: Orthopedic surgery physician assistant experience. Ability to obtain: Unrestricted Federal DEA license. Ability to obtain: Washington State medical license. Licenses & Certifications DEA license Physician Assistant NCCPA (PA‑C) Washington medical license Experience Minimum one year of experience working as an orthopedic surgery physician assistant (or one‑year surgical PA fellowship). Ideal candidate would have 2‑3 years of orthopedic surgery or surgical first‑assistant experience.
