Responsibilities You'll Embrace
  • Conduct diverse ultrasound assessments, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
  • Prioritize patient comfort and safety by elucidating each procedure with compassion and clarity
  • Engage closely with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure high-quality diagnostic images
  • Operate and diligently maintain imaging equipment, reporting any issues immediately
  • Keep thorough documentation of all procedures while ensuring efficient patient record management within the electronic medical system
  • Continuously stay updated on the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices
Education Essentials
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline
  • Preferred completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program
Certifications Needed
  • Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
Required Skills
  • Strong technical skills in sonographic imaging methods and patient positioning
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
