Overview Working Title: Front Desk Worker Department: Learning PLUS Type of Work: Work Study Federal Building/Office Location: UC - University Center Work Schedule: As needed between the hours of 8:15 and 5:00, Monday through Friday. Please include your availability below and/or attach your Fall 2026 class schedule. Job Description The Front Desk Worker serves as the receptionist for the department and greets all students, faculty/staff, and guests as they enter. Learning PLUS includes tutoring, writing center, and supplemental instruction. Federal work study preferred. Primary Responsibilities Matches up students and their tutors when they come into the Center Answers reception desk telephone and answers questions or routes calls to faculty/staff Informs the appropriate coordinator of any problem at the front desk Directs students to the login computer and assists in the login process, as necessary Assists students in making and canceling appointments in TutorTrac Signs off to accept delivered packages and materials Completes other tasks as assigned by the supervisor Qualifications Friendly demeanor Dependable Punctual Responsible Basic computer skills Any candidate who is offered this position will be required to undergo a pre-employment criminal background check as mandated by state law.
