Job Summary

We are in search of a compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team in an inpatient environment. The Nursing Assistant will deliver patient-centered nursing care and assist with daily living activities for assigned patients under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of the unit. If you are adaptable, open-minded, and willing to go the extra mile, you will excel as a Nursing Assistant. Responsibilities

• Assist with fundamental healthcare needs such as bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating, while also addressing emotional and spiritual needs.
• Document vital signs, blood glucose levels, and other essential health information.
• Support patient transfers and mobility.
• Perform clerical tasks related to scheduling and documenting patient care.
• Prepare and sanitize patient treatment areas, living spaces, and medical equipment.
• Dispose of biomedical waste in compliance with established standards and policies.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) is preferred but not mandatory. A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is also preferred. Candidates must obtain and maintain the required department-specific competencies and certifications.

If employed in North Dakota (ND) and not a Certified Nursing Assistant, you must be listed on the North Dakota Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry upon completing training/competency validation or within four months of starting employment.

If working in Wisconsin, you must be registered on the Wisconsin Nurse Aid Registry with current work eligibility.
